This story is shared by Drew:

Thanksgiving is the time for the 3 f's, family, food, and friends. Every year my mother cooks these delicious chocolate pies. I do not know why but they were always so yummy to me. My brother thinks I hype them up way too much. I never really understood why until I got to high school football. sometimes they would come out not looking too good, but they would always taste amazing.

I figured out why I enjoyed them so much my freshman year. Every year up until my first year in high school, I would only get to indulge in these pies once a year. And so that is what made them so special to me. But I found out during football season we have these practices on Thursdays, and we eat as a team after these practices. And every Thursday practice when we would eat, there would be a chocolate pie for dessert as a tradition. So I then figured out why my brother thought they were so hyped up in my head because he would get them every week during football season. They're definitely not as good as my mom's, but still quite tasty. This year, however, we have not been able to have the pie because of the pandemic, so I am looking forward to the delicious chocolate pie made by my mother once again.
