A favorite food of mine is the fish tacos I made for my birthday in 2020. Since everything was shut down I had to come up with something I could do at home since I couldn’t go anywhere with my friends like I wanted to. So my mom asked me what food I wanted to cook so I decided on fish tacos and got a recipe off of “Pinterest.” My mom bought all of the necessary ingredients and we spent the evening preparing my birthday dinner. We set up a fish taco bar in the backyard and had a great time. The tacos were delicious and we later watched a movie and then went to my grandparents’ house to share it with them.

On that day I learned three things that would always bring a neat smile to my face. The first of which is that my Grandmother had no idea how to make a taco as she put too much food in it. This caused her two get a second tortilla and eat it like a sandwich. The second of which is that cooking delicious food doesn’t have to be hard if you can find a good mentor and an easy recipe. And the third and final thing I learned is that food always tastes a thousand times better if you make it yourself as the rewarding feeling of doing something yourself somehow works its way into the taste.
